Natural Justice and Judicial Review of Administrative Action

Abstract
The principles of natural justice are fundamental safeguards against arbitrary and unfair administrative action. The two major principles, *audi alteram partem* (right to be heard) and *nemo judex in causa sua* (rule against bias), ensure fairness in administrative decision-making. In India, these principles are closely connected with the constitutional guarantees under *Articles 14 and 21*. Judicial review enables constitutional courts to examine administrative actions that are arbitrary, unreasonable, biased, or made in violation of natural justice. This research examines the relationship between natural justice and judicial review, the constitutional framework governing administrative action, and the role of the Supreme Court and High Courts in protecting procedural fairness.
