Abstract

Employee recognition is an important human resource management practice through which organizations acknowledge employees’ contributions, achievements, effort, and commitment. This study examines the relationship between employee recognition and job satisfaction, with particular attention to verbal appreciation, monetary rewards, awards, certificates, supervisor recognition, and peer recognition. Employee recognition is conceptualized as the independent variable and job satisfaction as the dependent variable. The study also proposes that recognition fairness and employee motivation may help explain the relationship between recognition and job satisfaction, while job satisfaction is examined in relation to career growth, supervisor support, and employee well-being. A descriptive and analytical research design is proposed. Primary data will be collected through a structured five-point Likert-scale questionnaire from employees of selected organizations. Descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and, where sample size and measurement quality permit, mediation analysis will be used to test the proposed relationships. The study is intended to identify the forms of recognition that employees value and to provide evidence-based implications for managers and HR professionals seeking to strengthen satisfaction, motivation, engagement, and retention.
