Abstract
The rapid growth of financial technology (FinTech) has led to the digitization of payments, UPI, mobile banking and e-wallets becoming commonplace among students. However, increased usage does not necessarily equate to adequate literacy on the part of the user in terms of being able to detect and prevent digital financial fraud. This study evaluates the level of FinTech literacy among students and its association with digital fraud detection and prevention behaviour. A descriptive research design is used, and a structured questionnaire is administered to students who use digital financial services. The study focuses on financial knowledge, digital financial skills, security awareness and awareness of common frauds such as phishing, OTP scams, fake payment links and QR-code fraud. The study aims to identify gaps in students' FinTech literacy and highlight the importance of financial and cybersecurity awareness in promoting safe digital financial behaviour.
