Abstract
Employee mental health has become an important concern in modern organizations. Workplaces today not only serve as centres of productivity but also influence the psychological condition of employees. This research paper examines how workplace conditions affect the mental health of employees. Factors such as excessive workload, lack of communication, limited decision-making authority, and unhealthy organizational culture can negatively impact psychological well-being. These conditions may result in stress, anxiety, burnout, and reduced job satisfaction. The study is supported by primary data collected through a survey of 13 respondents, providing insights into employee perceptions of workplace mental health and its impact on productivity and well-being. At the same time, supportive leadership, healthy work culture, flexible work arrangements, and strong peer relationships can improve resilience and engagement. Although awareness about mental health has increased, many employees still hesitate to discuss psychological challenges due to stigma or fear of workplace consequences. This paper emphasizes the importance of integrating mental health initiatives into human resource management strategies, such as employee counselling services, mental health awareness workshops, stress management training, and work-life balance policies, to improve employee well-being, reduce absenteeism, and enhance productivity.
