Abstract
Background
Allergic conjunctivitis is a common ocular allergic disorder characterized by conjunctival inflammation following exposure to allergens. Ocular itching, watering, redness, burning and foreign-body sensation are among its principal clinical manifestations. Although allergic conjunctivitis is generally not sight-threatening, persistent symptoms may interfere considerably with daily activities and quality of life. Homeopathic management emphasizes individualization of treatment according to the totality of characteristic symptoms. The present comparative experimental study was designed to evaluate the clinical response of Argentum nitricum and Hepar sulphuricum in patients aged 20–40 years suffering from allergic conjunctivitis.
Objectives
The primary objective was to compare the therapeutic response of Argentum nitricum and Hepar sulphuricum in cases of allergic conjunctivitis. Secondary objectives were to assess changes in individual clinical symptoms and to evaluate the overall clinical outcome following treatment.
Methods
A comparative experimental clinical study was undertaken among patients aged 20–40 years diagnosed clinically with allergic conjunctivitis. Eligible participants were allocated into two treatment groups according to the study protocol. Group A received individualized treatment with Argentum nitricum, while Group B received individualized treatment with Hepar sulphuricum. Patients were assessed at baseline and at predetermined follow-up visits using predefined clinical parameters, including ocular itching, redness, lacrimation, burning, foreign-body sensation and associated discharge. The overall response was assessed using the study's predefined outcome scale and appropriate statistical analysis.
Results
Insert your actual study results here: number of participants in each group, baseline characteristics, pre- and post-treatment symptom scores, mean change, statistical test, p-value and proportion of patients showing marked, moderate, mild or no improvement.
Conclusion
Insert conclusion based on the actual statistical findings. The study was designed to determine whether a clinically meaningful difference existed between Argentum nitricum and Hepar sulphuricum in patients with allergic conjunctivitis. The findings should be interpreted in relation to the study design, sample size, outcome measures and statistical significance.
