Abstract

This study examines finance operations and customer vehicle financing at Kundun Hyundai, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra, based on practical exposure gained during an On-the-Job Training (OJT) period from 15 May 2026 to 15 August 2026. The study focuses on the practical process of customer vehicle-loan processing and the role of the dealership finance function in supporting vehicle sales. Attention is given to customer documentation, CIBIL-score checking, income assessment, Fixed Obligations to Income Ratio (FOIR), comparison of bank policies, bank selection, loan application submission, verification, follow-up, and communication with customers. A descriptive and project-based research design was used. Information was obtained through direct observation, practical participation, discussions with finance and sales employees and bank representatives, document review, and follow-up activities. The findings indicate that vehicle financing is an important part of dealership operations and that smooth processing depends on accurate documentation, assessment of repayment capacity, suitable bank selection, timely follow-up, and coordination among customers, dealership employees, and financial institutions. The study also identifies practical challenges such as incomplete documentation, additional verification, differences in bank policies, delayed responses, and loan rejection. The paper recommends a standard document checklist, systematic application tracking, regular policy updates, stronger Sales–Finance coordination, and timely customer communication. The study is based on OJT observations and therefore does not claim to represent all Hyundai dealerships or financial institutions.
